Who are Red Sox possible targets for a closer?

What relief pitchers with closing experience could be available in a trade?

Here are the RP with over 10 saves so far this year.

Who do you want?

Who does Dave Dombrowski want?

Will the Red Sox spend?

Tom Brady - Won/Loss records when leading, tied or trailing after each quarter

The fans of the NFL love to proclaim "QB X has a million come-from-behind victories".

I say to that, who was the QB when your team fell behind?

Answer. 99% of the time it's the same QB.

So QB X gets rewarded with hero's worship when he was part of the reason his team was trailing in the first place.

Which makes no sense to me.

Let's take a look at how the New England Patriots, with Tom Brady as the starting QB, go about their business.

Brady has made 267 regular season starts for the Patriots.

After the 1st Q - 200 of the 267 games (74.9%) the Patriots have lead or been tied

At the half - 200 of the 267 games (74.9%) the Patriots have lead or been tied

After the 3rd Q - 196 of the 267 games (73.4%) the Patriots have lead or been tied

Get the lead and keep the lead sounds like better strategy to me

And the New England Patriots

NFL - Tom Brady leads the way in Super Bowl win percentage

I have seen and heard for years the debate of which QB has the best Super Bowl record.

I am here to settle it once and for all.

Tom Brady and Bart Starr at 33.3% of the career seasons.

But wait, I thought Joe Montana was (4-0) in the Super Bowl?

He was.

But he only made it to the Super Bowl 4 of his 16 seasons. So in reality he is (4-12)
.
Do you get it now.

You either win the Super Bowl or you don't. In the years the QB's didn't win the Super Bowl, does it matter when they were eliminated?

No.

Couple of notes

1. Only Super Bowl era since 1966
2. Seasons for Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Len Dawson and Joe Namath "start" in 1966 so that none Super Bowl years won't count against them
3. Seasons = the year a QB started his 1st game
4. If a player missed a season for any reason it still counts. Got to stay on the field.

Tom Brady, as a starter at home in the regular season, is a ridiculous (81-8, .910)

Tom Brady has amassed almost every imaginable NFL record known to man.

This is one that will be hard to top.

In his last 89 regular season starts at home, he is a mind blowing (81-8, .910) at Gillette Stadium.

PF/G - 31.9
PA/ G - 17.6

And to top it off, Brady is (63-2, .969) in his last 65 home games vs the AFC in the regular season.

PF/G - 33.2
PA/G - 17.2

We will never see this domination again.
