Short answer is no.
The Red Sox beat teams by a lot of runs because they have the best offense in MLB
You will see below that the Red Sox wins have come against teams with a .494 win percentage. This ties them for 4th with Baltimore among AL contenders.
Do the Red Sox score more runs, in their wins? Not as much as Cleveland but firmly in 2nd place.
Since when is it a bad thing to score a lot more runs than your opponent in MLB. I'll answer. Never.

Here are the numbers for AL contenders in their losses.
Texas gets beat by the most runs (-197) against the worst teams (.492) among the contenders. Does that mean they are no good. No. It means in those particular games they pitched and hit poorly.
Detroit losses to the teams with the better records (.522). Do they stink?
Boston has lost their 52 games by the 2nd fewest amount of runs per game (3.08). Only team ahead is Seattle at (3.02).
Instead of that being a negative vibe, I take it as a positive. All it means to me is that the Red Sox are competitive in more games than anybody. Eventually, the law of averages will turn some losses in to wins. Like today win over Cleveland.
