Let's take a look at the American League pitching numbers since the All-Star game.
First we parse out the relief pitchers in the AL.
Red Sox are 13th in team ERA and 14th in WHIP. To make matters worse, the Sox have the least worked bullpen in the AL since the All-Star game. A measly 82 1/3 innings pitched.
The Red Sox relief pitchers should be better rested than any team in the league. And they are still horrible.
