David Ortiz set to become 17th player in MLB to have 1,000 extra base hits with one team

David Ortiz is set to become only the 17th player in MLB history to have greater than 1,000 extra base hits with one team. Ortiz currently sits at 995 XBH's with the Boston Red Sox.

Fourteen of the other sixteen are in the Hall of Fame. The 15th, Chipper Jones, will go in next year. Leaving only Barry Bonds on the outside looking in.
